The Himmelfarb Group is a full-service executive search firm with a strong track record. We bring the twin perspectives of over a decade of executive search work and a combined 60+ years of public interest work experience to the task of advising our clients throughout a search. We reach broadly, and beyond our clients’ usual circles, to identify outstanding candidates. We work with our clients to define their expectations for the position at the outset of the search, setting the stage for a search process that moves smoothly and quickly. Our rates are competitive and our timelines aggressive.
The Himmelfarb Group also is available to carry out selected pieces of a search. If your organization is not planning to engage a search consultant to manage the full search process, we would be pleased to discuss ways in which we can work with you to assure that your search for a new staff member is successful.
Examples of partial search services that we have provided in the past include: · Assessing an organization’s needs and advising on structural and staffing issues. · Coaching client organization board or staff so they can more successfully manage an in-house search. · Advising on the form and content of the position announcement our client will use to describe the position’s responsibilities and the desired qualifications. · Compiling a list of organizations to contact to advertise the position opening. · Screening résumés and/or doing initial candidate interviews and recommending a number for client interviews. · Doing in-depth reference calls and background checks on a series of finalist candidates.
