One of the country’s premiere executive search firms serving the public interest community, The Himmelfarb Group was founded by Susan Himmelfarb in 1990. Ms. Himmelfarb remains principal of the firm. She directs the firm’s work and handles most of the firm’s assignments personally. Her understanding of client needs and her belief in the critical importance of finding the optimum fit of person to position, born of extensive management and leadership experience in not-for-profit, academic, public school, and government settings, are among the firm’s particular strengths.
She serves on the board of the Cofan Survival Fund, was a long-time director of the Harvard Club of Chicago, and has served on several other not-for-profit boards including that of the Unity Temple Restoration Foundation, Frank Lloyd Wright Preservation Trust and The Chicago Ensemble.
Ms. Himmelfarb is supported by a highly qualified and dedicated staff.
